NOMAD Power Group's Blue Sky Crews handle the planned, day-to-day distribution and transmission work that keeps utilities ahead of demand — new construction, system upgrades, pole replacements, line rebuilds, and routine maintenance under normal operating conditions. While our storm response teams are built for chaos, our Blue Sky Crews are built for consistency: showing up on schedule, executing clean work, and delivering predictable results that utility partners can plan their capital programs around. These crews are the backbone of NOMAD's non-emergency operations, supporting investor-owned utilities, municipals, and cooperatives with experienced linemen, modern equipment, and the same safety-first culture that defines every NOMAD deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design HV/MV power distribution systems, substations, and protection schemes
• Produce and review technical specifications, drawings, and calculations
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and authorities throughout project lifecycle
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers on the team
• Support commissioning and site supervision activities

Requirements

• BSc / BEng in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• 8+ years of experience in power systems or energy infrastructure
• Proficiency in ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or equivalent software
• Familiarity with IEC, BS, and NEMA standards
• Strong project management and communication skills
